At Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients in need of rehabilitation services. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our interdisciplinary team and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care during their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
- Support patients during meal times by preparing and serving food, as well as assisting with feeding when necessary.
- Monitor patient comfort and report any concerns to licensed nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients, including changing linens and tidying up personal spaces.
- Respond to patient call lights and anticipate their needs through regular rounds.
- Help patients manage their personal belongings, ensuring items such as glasses, dentures, and hearing aids are accessible.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state.
- CPR/BCLS certification is required.
- Preferred experience of at least six months in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
