Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining efficient patient flow and providing exceptional care to patients at Urology Austin. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and technical skills to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms and treatment areas as needed.
- Record patient data, including vital signs, allergies, and medication lists.
- Obtain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
- Assist physicians and nurses with exams and procedures.
- Perform lab procedures, including phlebotomy and specimen processing.
- Triage patient calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Practice Standard Precautions and maintain a clean work environment.
- Certificate of graduation from an accredited medical assisting program or LVN equivalent.
- Minimum one year experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Phlebotomy experience required.
