Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Cynet Systems. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from patients in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and store blood samples according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Properly label and centrifuge specimens, and ensure accurate matching of laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
  • Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and/or butterfly needles, and understand all physicians' orders.
  • Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature and protocols.
  • Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations, and attend annual department trainings.
  • Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Requirements
  • Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
  • Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Skills
  • Phlebotomy experience, with a focus on collecting blood samples from children and adults.
  • Experience with hard sticks and needles, processing, and data entry.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in computer skills.
