Quality Assurance Team Leader

The Quality Assurance Supervisor at JSB Industries Inc. plays a pivotal role in upholding the standards of our Manufacturing Quality and Food Safety Policies. The Supervisor will work collaboratively across departments, fostering a professional and proactive environment while mitigating conflicts.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and enhance existing product SKUs in collaboration with Research and Development.
- Evaluate the quality of incoming raw materials and finished goods, including sensory assessments.
- Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct daily Pre-operational Inspections, including weekly swab tests.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) on the production floor.
- Perform Specification Testing on incoming raw materials as required.
- Supervise daily Label Checks, HACCP compliance, and calibration of equipment.
- Ensure the effective operation of metal detectors on a daily basis.
- Facilitate training sessions as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Conduct daily sensory evaluations of products in production and compile reports.
- Assist in maintaining safety compliance and adherence to company policies through exemplary behavior and monitoring of team conduct.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Certification in Serve Safe.
- Comprehensive understanding of USDA/FDA regulations, third-party audits, GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, BRC, and process control.
- Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated energy, drive, and initiative.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as necessary.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
This is a full-time position offering Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits after a qualifying waiting period, along with Sick and Vacation leave, and Paid Holidays.
Compensation will be based on experience.
