Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Client & Service Expert:

  • Develop clientele by coaching the team on proactive outreach and nurturing relationships with new customers.
  • Collaborate with Store Leader to create initiatives that drive business growth and attract new clientele.
  • Ensure each team member effectively utilizes their client book to enhance sales through regular reviews and outreach evaluations.
  • Maintain compliance with all client engagement standards and the thank-you note initiative.
  • Guarantee all associates complete the sales training program.
  • Model and oversee the sales environment, providing consistent coaching to uphold exceptional customer service and sales performance.

Leadership Presence/Steward of Talent:

  • Assist the Store Leader in achieving financial targets by improving measurable outcomes that positively influence store performance.
  • Assume the Store Leader's responsibilities in their absence.
  • Lead by example in achieving personal sales objectives.
  • Educate the team on sales strategies, personal goals, and measurable statistics, coaching them to maximize business potential.
  • Network within the community to efficiently fill open positions with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of employee performance.

Building Brand Equity:

  • Understand and communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to both the sales team and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to brand and operational standards to maintain brand consistency.
  • Implement visual merchandising directives and uphold store presentation standards.
  • Communicate merchandise performance, stock levels, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Leader to enhance service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, bank deposits, and securing the facility.
  • Assist the Store Leader in managing payroll budgets by adjusting schedules as necessary.
  • Monitor and enforce company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention to safeguard inventory and assets.
  • Accurately manage all POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail setting.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in luxury goods is advantageous.

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Exceptional sales development and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills across all organizational levels and with clients.
  • Ability to analyze sales reports, identify trends, and respond swiftly to business needs.
  • Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflicts within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work the store schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift boxes weighing up to 40 pounds safely.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders.
