Role Summary and Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all departmental functions during assigned shifts. Working alongside the management team, the CNC oversees nursing care delivery in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's mission and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and quality care.
- Engages in ongoing evaluations of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Fosters teamwork by collaborating with experts and managers to enhance outcomes and service delivery.
- Advocates for a patient-first approach and addresses service recovery as needed.
- Implements nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Participates in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff members.
- Manages staff scheduling and labor in accordance with patient care requirements.
- Assists in inventory management and the procurement of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 60 months of employment.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
