Arbor Place, Inc. is in search of a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager. This role involves overseeing the financial operations that empower our organization to fulfill its mission of supporting individuals and families in recovery. You will ensure financial accuracy and compliance while providing strategic insights that will directly influence our impact in the community. We're looking for a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a commitment to process improvement, ready to contribute to a cause that truly matters.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely and accurate billing for the services provided, supporting financial health and sustainability.
- Review and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage journal entry allocations and entries, including year-end review and financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor a team including the Accounting Technician, Billing Specialists, and Office Support team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Manage vendor contracts, and expand and oversee insurance contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare and present insightful monthly financial reports to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and program managers, aiding in strategic decision-making.
- Lead the preparation and organization of the annual financial audit, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Set annual rates for agency services, balancing affordability with financial viability.
- Prepare and manage the annual agency budget, aligning financial resources with mission-driven initiatives.
- Oversee the financial management of all grants and contracts, maximizing their impact.
- Analyze revenue and expenses monthly, providing actionable insights to the Executive Director to support growth and operational efficiency.
- Participate in fundraising activities and manage the donor database, contributing to the financial sustainability of programs.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
- Proven experience in supervision and leadership, with a track record of fostering a positive team environment.
- A self-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in budgeting, planning, and forecasting, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, with a passion for making a difference.
