We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Exercise Instructor to lead fitness classes and promote a healthy lifestyle at the YMCA of Greater Houston.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging fitness classes that cater to diverse age groups and fitness levels.
- Develop and maintain a safe and supportive class environment, ensuring participants' well-being and adherence to YMCA standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to members' questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in group fitness instruction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience and certifications preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, as well as Child Abuse Prevention training, are mandatory.
- Primary Group Fitness Certifications (ACE, AFAA, NASM) and/or specialty certifications are required.
