Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Litigation Paralegal to support our legal team in various litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in probate, trust, and commercial litigation, and will be responsible for a range of tasks that are crucial to the success of our cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assistance to attorneys in the areas of Probate, Trust, and Commercial litigation.
  • Prepare and file essential legal documents, including petitions, motions for review, motions for summary judgment, and motions for discovery.
  • Draft and serve responses to discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and perform cite checks to support case preparation.
  • Compose correspondence directed to clients, witnesses, experts, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
  • Summarize case details for attorney review to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Maintain organized litigation files, manage deadlines, and oversee scheduling activities.
  • Assist in mediation preparations by compiling necessary transcripts.
  • Review disputed facts and prepare settlement offers and counteroffers.
  • Support the appeals process by reviewing case materials and related legal documents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • A degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Paralegal.
  • Proficient knowledge in Probate, Trusts, Guardianships, and Civil Litigation.
  • Familiarity with standard office practices and equipment.
  • Exceptional typing skills.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent client relations and telephone etiquette.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Leap, Worldox, and Westlaw.
