The Hire Solution is collaborating with a distinguished and expanding construction firm for the role of Property Accountant or Senior Property Accountant.
This prominent position involves direct engagement with the CFO, where the accountant will manage all aspects of daily and monthly financial activities for approximately 15 properties across the nation utilizing Yardi ERP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial statement evaluations, including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger oversight.
- Ensure timely and precise reporting of the financial activities of designated properties, encompassing financial reporting, escrow assessments, and management of various external accounting teams.
- Perform monthly reviews of diverse financial statements in multiple formats, scrutinizing all balance sheet accounts and providing explanations for significant variances in income statement accounts.
- Oversee and authorize monthly cash distributions from the properties.
- Develop and maintain templates tailored to the specifications of each property.
- Prepare quarterly reporting packages for the assigned properties.
- Support the Director of Property Accounting with monthly reporting and various initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Asset Management team to forecast and budget property performance.
- Assist the Asset Management team in generating necessary reports and addressing inquiries regarding property accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable at the property level within the internal accounting system.
- Review tax returns for accuracy in relation to information derived from property financial statements.
- Contribute to fund-level accounting responsibilities through monthly tasks and on an ad hoc basis, including cash flows, departmental reporting, debt compliance, and year-end tax/audit obligations.
- Perform administrative duties such as organizing files in Virtus format within respective folders and confirming monthly deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in Yardi Enterprise or Voyager is highly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site at the headquarters.
- Strong professional communication skills and the capability to collaborate with all operating partners.
- Assertive and cooperative mindset.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
