This position is located in the Farm Service Agency, Kansas State Office, and is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Farm and Loan Managers and Officers in multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides support and assistance to the Farm Loan Chief, and Farm Loan Specialists, and County Offices in performing a range of lending activities, closing, disbursements, monitoring, liquidating, and servicing of agricultural loans.
  • Works collaboratively with Farm Loan Officers and loan staff under the direction of the District Director and the Farm Loan Manager.
  • Performs analysis, evaluation, and advisory assignments related to the effective delivery of loan making and servicing activities.
  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of farm loan programs, policies, and procedures for the assigned farm loan area.
Requirements
  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
  • Direct Deposit: Per Public Law all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Qualifications
  • Specialized Experience: GS-5: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-04 in the Federal service.
  • Specialized Experience: GS-7: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-05 in the Federal service.
  • Specialized Experience: GS-9: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07 in the Federal service.
