**About the Position:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at Texas Tech University.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a particular field of science or engineering equivalent to a Master's degree. One year research experience and knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors status of and helps maintain HPC resources.
  • Works with HPCC users to analyze existing codes and develop and deploy new applications into existing or new environments.
  • Assist in obtaining research funds and/or perform research into advanced computing.
  • Documents policies and procedures for deploying advanced computing software and trains students in advanced computing techniques like deploying new software and porting applications into the new environments.
  • Distributes results of work through refereed publications, presentations at national conferences and working with other institutions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a particular field of science or engineering equivalent to a Master's degree.
  • One year research experience.
  • Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof.
