Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks, and provide recommendations for menu items.
  • Plan and present bar menus, ensuring a diverse selection of options for our guests.
  • Serve snacks and drinks to customers, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Check identification of guests to ensure compliance with age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
  • Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare and serve wine and beer to guests, maintaining a thorough knowledge of our beverage offerings.
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays, enhancing the overall ambiance of the bar area.
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences, making recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Sell or influence others to upsell and suggest additional items, promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions, staying up-to-date on new offerings.
  • Clean up after customers and maintain a clean working area, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning glass doors and windows as needed.
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain liquor inventory, collecting payment for drinks served and balancing all receipts.
  • Handle an assigned house bank, following all cash handling procedures as per hotel standards.
  • Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies, ensuring a seamless operation.
  • Ensure the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
  • Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience, promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements:
  • One to two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Good personality and positive interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Dependability and regular attendance, with a commitment to maintaining a high level of performance.
