Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components of medical device systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
  • Develop and execute test methods for evaluating product requirements and design specifications.
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders, including technical documentation and presentations.
  • Assist in the commercialization of proposed designs, working closely with Packaging, Labeling, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering/Quality teams.
  • Work cooperatively with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing teams to ensure project success.
  • Maintain compliance with all documented quality processes and procedures, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Biomedical.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience OR Master's Degree with 2 or more years of experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent MS Office suite skills.
  • Experience with medical device or regulated industry design control process and documentation.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, working with suppliers, and/or type testing.
  • Experience with machined, sheet metal and/or injection molded component design for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping technology to accelerate proof of concepts.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems.
