Position Summary:
The Lead Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the monthly financial reporting close process. This position involves gathering essential information for journal entries, account reconciliations, and other related tasks, serving as the primary contact for accounting inquiries. The Lead Financial Analyst will ensure that the organization maintains robust internal controls to guarantee accurate financial data and protect company assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting entries for various organizational units.
- Adhere to established accounting protocols within the organization.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure precision and promptness in invoice processing.
- Regularly conduct detailed reconciliations of all assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Provide comprehensive analyses and explanations for all financial transactions.
- Ensure the organization upholds effective internal controls to maintain accurate financial data and safeguard assets.
- Lead the team in preparing for and supporting the annual audit with external auditors.
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
- Meet and respond to tight deadlines effectively.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with SAP 4 Hana or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with US SOX compliance requirements is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; advanced degrees such as an MBA or MSA are preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- CPA or CMA designation is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to read and comprehend English.
