Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated CNC Lathe Operator for our 3rd shift in the Steam and Condensate Group. New hires will initially train on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift once they demonstrate the ability to work independently. A $1000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates with prior CNC experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and written instructions.
  • Understand machine settings and measuring equipment for metalworking.
  • Execute tool offsets and minor program modifications.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Familiarity with indexable, carbide, and high-speed tooling.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery.
  • Handle materials with typical lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds, utilizing material handling equipment for heavier loads.
  • Perform quality assurance checks.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software for data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and consistent work ethic.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Basic mechanical repair skills and equipment maintenance.
  • Fundamental math, reading, and writing skills.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
