Position Overview

The Residential Wireman will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in residential properties. This position involves collaborating with contractors on new construction projects and providing repair services to existing homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain residential electrical systems while adhering to safety standards and operational goals.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to set up electrical power and lighting systems in various residential settings.
  • Diagnose electrical system issues and collaborate with team members to determine necessary materials and solutions.
  • Plan and schedule work based on project requirements and customer needs.
  • Travel to different job sites to address issues and gain a comprehensive understanding of projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company projects and sensitive information.
  • Report critical issues to project management with suggested resolutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; a licensed electrician is preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a DOL/BAT apprenticeship program.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in installing power systems, lighting, and security systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits and devices.
  • Ability to ensure compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Experience in project management and crew supervision.
  • Capability to manage material estimates effectively.

Physical Requirements

Employees in this role must be able to perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include the ability to see close and at a distance, as well as peripheral vision.

Work Environment

The work environment may involve exposure to various weather conditions and requires navigating potentially hazardous locations. Safety precautions must be observed at all times.
