Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the guest accommodations are kept in pristine condition. Responsibilities include making beds, restocking linens, and maintaining cleanliness in guest rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport linens, towels, toiletries, and cleaning materials using carts.
  • Ensure all areas including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and restrooms meet health and safety standards.
  • Dispose of waste and ensure trash receptacles are emptied regularly.
  • Restock supplies such as glasses, linens, and bathroom essentials.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage areas and cleaning carts.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
  • Utilize vacuum cleaners and shampooers to clean carpets, rugs, and upholstered items.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, ensuring all surfaces are polished and maintained.
  • Manage draperies and window treatments, ensuring they are clean and dust-free.
  • Report any damages, thefts, or found items to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Clear debris from outdoor areas such as driveways and poolside.
  • Sort and store clean linens in designated areas.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include some high school education. Previous experience is not required.
