### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at Native Health. As a Pediatrician, you will provide comprehensive primary patient care, including prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and follow-up services to patients under your care within the scope of pediatric medicine.

### Key Responsibilities

* Provides comprehensive primary patient care, including prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and follow-up services to patients under your care within the scope of pediatric medicine.
* Documents all patient-provider interactions following health care standards.
* Participates as an active member of an integrated patient-centered team.
* Provides oversight of Physician Assistants.
* Provides Provider oversight of the Vaccine for Children's Program across all Native Health Locations.
* Supports the organization as needed.

### Qualifications

* Completion of an accredited medical school and Pediatric Residency.
* Must have a permanent and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy in Arizona.
* Must have current board certification in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics and must maintain certification throughout employment.
* Must have current medication dispensing license (DEA).
* Experience and training must have been progressive and responsible, demonstrating good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods, and techniques in the field of medicine.
* Three years of experience in an outpatient Pediatric practice or comparable setting is preferred.
* Experience in a community health center setting is preferred.
* Current BLS certification is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
* Current PALS certification is preferred.

### Skills and Abilities

* Strong knowledge of current evidence-based pediatric guidelines.
* Skills in providing diagnostic, preventive, and/or therapeutic services to pediatric patients.
* Knowledge of public health, community health, and population health.
* Ability to work effectively with staff members who have a variety of backgrounds and training.
* Ability to accomplish the quality and quantity of work expected within set limits of cost and time.
* Ability to plan own work and carry out assignments effectively.
* Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing in working out solutions to problems or questions relating to work.
* Proficient with computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office.
* Ability to maintain patient medical records and utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and associated technologies in said maintenance.
* Ability to establish rapport and gain the confidence of others.
* Ability to function as a health care delivery team member.
* Ability to assess quality patient care.
* Ability to provide cross coverage at Native Health clinic locations as needed.
* Must be able to work with confidential material without betraying the trust of patients, families, or the agency.
* Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and under or uninsured populations.
* Adherence to principles of confidentiality, scientific/academic integrity, informed consent, and ethical practice.
* Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and prioritizing workload.
