We are currently looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer to enhance our intelligence team. This role involves engaging with a collaborative team focused on the administration of Oracle and/or MongoDB databases, specifically within the realm of IC Security Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing system storage needs and strategizing for future requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining primary database storage frameworks.
- Creating essential database objects (such as tables, views, and indexes) in alignment with application designs, and providing assistance to developers when necessary.
- Adjusting the database architecture as required.
- Monitoring and enhancing database performance.
- Formulating backup and recovery strategies.
- Executing database backups and restorations as needed.
- Implementing database updates and patches.
- Facilitating database migrations to new hardware when necessary.
- Developing PL/SQL stored procedures and triggers.
- Writing and maintaining shell scripts.
- Proposing innovative architectures, designs, and strategies for future enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Alternatively, four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Skills:
- Over 8 years of experience in Database Administration (Oracle or MongoDB).
- At least 5 years of experience with PL/SQL.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL.
- Familiarity with large object (LOB) data structures.
- Experience in implementing and managing partitioned objects.
- Proficiency in RDBMS management via Cloud Control.
- Experience with:
- Database architecture, designs, and strategies.
- Database performance optimization.
- PERL programming.
- Shell scripting.
- ETL processing.
- Oracle RAC.
- A willingness to undertake a diverse range of tasks.
