Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Dermatology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at InterMed, P.A.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, demonstrating professionalism and promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to perform health assessments, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions.
  • Promote health maintenance and wellness through education and counseling.
  • Prescribe medication, order diagnostic tests, and perform minor procedures as needed.
  • Manage time efficiently and maintain flexibility to ensure maximum patient access to care.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills and maintain a sound knowledge base to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and deliver care that preserves patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Provide patient-centered and culturally sensitive care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and administer CPR and basic first aid as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • 2+ years of primary care experience preferred.
  • Current national certification and licensure to practice in the state of Maine.
  • Current DEA License and BLS certification.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Work Environment

Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
