Job Title: Busperson at Tonga Room

Join our team at Fairmont San Francisco as a Busperson at the iconic Tonga Room. As a key member of our service staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.

Responsibilities:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests.
  • Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way, enhancing their overall dining experience.
  • Ensure the proper set up of all side stations in the outlet in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of service quality.
  • Have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, enabling you to make informed recommendations to our guests.
  • Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods, ensuring accuracy and consistency in service delivery.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards, upholding the highest standards of service quality.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Able to multitask and successfully execute duties in a fast-paced manner, adapting to changing situations with ease.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Aspects of the Position:
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift, ensuring you are able to move efficiently and effectively.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs, requiring you to be physically capable and able to handle the demands of the role.
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps, requiring you to be agile and able to navigate the physical demands of the role.
  • Exposure to hot surfaces, requiring you to be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous high-volume restaurant service experience an asset, demonstrating your ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset, showcasing your technical skills and ability to adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling you to effectively communicate with colleagues and guests.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, allowing you to navigate complex situations with ease.
  • Highly responsible and reliable, demonstrating your ability to take ownership of your work and deliver high-quality results.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations with ease.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Rate: $23.10 USD Gross per hour
