Clinical Nurse II Adult Emergency Department Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Adult Emergency Department at Albany Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
