You'll work closely with our control, electronic, firmware, and system engineers to deliver the next breakthroughs in battery systems and power tool technology. Your expertise in control systems, power electronics, and motor control will be essential in driving our innovation forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, model, and implement advanced control algorithms for our products
  • Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to optimize and implement next-generation control algorithms
  • Peer review software and controls designs/source code
  • Innovate control solutions to meet the needs of the business
  • Use laboratory equipment to validate control algorithms
  • Track projects to ensure adherence to schedule and Milwaukee Tool's processes

Requirements:

  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in model-based control development utilizing design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
  • Extensive knowledge of closed loop control theory, vector control, and pulse width modulation techniques
  • Ability to read power electronics schematics and component data sheets
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
