Job Title: Accounting Reconciler

Job Summary: Wawa is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Reconciler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling fuel bills of lading and carrier invoices to ensure adherence to payment terms. This role involves verifying the accuracy of fuel inventory and sales at the store level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile fuel bills of lading to supplier and carrier invoices to ensure timely payment.
  • Analyze unreconciled invoices to identify items requiring immediate corrective action.
  • Audit and adjust weekly store fuel purchases using the FuelSmart accounting system.
  • Research and analyze costing issues to ensure accurate fuel costs.
  • Work with fuel suppliers and internal departments to resolve pricing and volume variances.
  • Assist in the training and development of Fuel Reconciler associates.
  • Audit weekly store fuel sales against supporting documentation.
  • Review and record store fuel inventory via FuelSmart accounting system.
  • Utilize various software systems to research and analyze pricing, inventory, and taxes.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Weekly Fuel Gross Profit Estimate.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in A/P, A/R, or applicable bookkeeping position.
  • Strong PC skills in Windows environment, Microsoft Office Suite.
