CH-53K Test Pilot Specialist

CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot
KBR is in search of a CH-53K Developmental Test Pilot to enhance our operational capabilities.
As part of KBR, you will engage with the premier independent flight testing organization, providing vital support to both governmental and commercial sectors. You will collaborate with a highly skilled and seasoned aircrew services team that has been delivering exceptional aircrew project support for over four decades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the HX-21 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.
- Execute the responsibilities of a CH-53K developmental test pilot and project officer.
- Assist in a variety of NAWCAD test and evaluation activities, including planning meetings, test plan formulation, event organization, development of test procedures, flight briefings, execution of tests, post-event analysis, reporting of test results, and identification of deficiencies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Graduation from a recognized test pilot school specializing in rotary wing aircraft is mandatory.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience is required.
- At least three (3) years of rotary wing research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) flight experience is essential, with prior H-53 aircraft qualification and Heavy Lift Mission experience being advantageous.
- Must possess a minimum of 1,500 total flight hours, including 1,000 hours as pilot-in-command in rotary wing aircraft. A minimum of 2,000 hours and current or previous qualification in the H-53 aircraft is highly preferred.
- Current qualification and recent experience with rotary wing test and evaluation techniques, principles, and practices are desirable.
- Ability to meet physical and training qualifications for contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as an annual FAA Class II flight physical.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required for this role.
- A current Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one is necessary for employment, with the ability to secure and maintain a Top-Secret level security clearance.
- Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
- Preference will be given to candidates with current or recent flying status.
Note: Contractual requirements regarding education and experience will take precedence.
