About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Associate Lead to join our team at Dollar General. As a Sales Associate Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage store operations, including receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead a team of sales associates, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and achieving their goals.
  • Assist with inventory management, including counting and reconciling inventory, and ordering merchandise as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including opening and closing the store, and participating in special projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures, including cashier accountability and deposit control.
  • Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise, and unload trucks.
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment, including handheld scanners, pricing guns, and box cutters.
  • Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
  • Occasional climbing using step ladder up to heights of six feet.
  • Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
