Free to Be Programs is in search of a dedicated full-time Administrator for our Adult Residential Facility and Children's Group Home, focused on providing exceptional care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Essential Qualifications
- Possession of a valid administrator's certificate from Community Care Licensing.
- Completion of Residential Services Orientation (RSO) training as mandated by Regional Center under Title 17, Section 56003(b).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Fulfillment of all Continuing Education Units (CEUs) necessary to uphold the administrator certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a residential setting supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Health and Tuberculosis Clearance.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Certification in crisis intervention (e.g., CPI) within six months of employment.
- Clearance of fingerprint and driving record checks.
- Completion of Direct Support Professional (DSP) I and II training.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination of services for residents and their families.
- Address and manage grievances effectively.
- Facilitate regular staff meetings to review plans and policies.
- Organize staff attendance at conferences and training sessions to promote professional development.
- Handle recruitment and termination of staff members.
- Conduct orientation and training for new staff.
- Create and manage staff schedules.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and resident documentation.
- Review and assess referral packets.
- Coordinate referral and intake processes, including interviews and initial visits.
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents to the appropriate agencies.
- Provide direct supervision to direct support professionals.
- Develop and manage meal plans.
- Establish resident data sheets and skill assessments.
- Participate in monthly meetings with the behavior consultant as required.
- Be available on-call 24/7 to address emergencies.
