About the Role:

As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. You will be working from various settings, including clients' homes, schools, and community locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis intervention to children with ASD and related exceptionalities
  • Implement behavior plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) as per client programs
  • Collect and maintain data according to company policies and procedures
  • Assist in updating client programs as instructed by associated BCBAs
  • Implement behavioral strategies for challenging child behaviors as outlined or instructed
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Acknowledge and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Notify management of emergencies or significant incidents; suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation and/or changes in client status in line with company policies and procedures
  • Arrive on time for appointments, meetings, trainings, etc.
  • Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and other correspondence
  • Conduct oneself professionally and treat all clients, customers, colleagues, and others with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity
  • Fulfill other duties assigned

Requirements:

  • PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood education, speech/language disorders, psychology, or a related field
  • Successfully completed a minimum 40-hour RBT certification course from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with ASD or related exceptionality preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual candidates (Spanish or Portuguese/English) are welcome
  • Demonstrated dependability and passion for helping children and adolescents
  • Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and car insurance; ability to travel to appointments
  • Candidates must have successfully passed a criminal background screening
  • Occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds may be required
