The Commercial and Risk Manager is responsible for developing innovative solutions to drive customer outcomes and growth while managing company risk and reward. Roles and Responsibilities- Validate bid risk and reward balance, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Partner with functional experts to ensure deal structuring is compliant with STAT/Tax requirements.
- Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity. Communicate complex concepts and influence others' options on particular topics.
- Impact the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives. Regularly advise management on functional and business matters.
- Use high-level judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Assess the quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
- Assist commercial teams in determining commercial finance risk solutions in deal offerings.
- Support commercial deals with financial analysis and trending.
- Lead CEO Contract Review Board (CRB) meetings.
- Represent the Nuclear business in GE Vernova Risk Management discussions and fulfill GE Vernova corporate risk management data requests and initiatives.
- Improve risk management processes using lean techniques.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance with 3 years in Risk Management.
- Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
- Prior experience working in a commercial function is preferred.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in problem-solving and prioritizing.
- Work effectively with all levels of employees.
- Able to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Detail-oriented.
