Job Summary

As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for managing the flow of the restaurant, greeting guests, seating them, and ensuring that their dining experience is exceptional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests to our restaurant and ensure they feel valued and respected.
  • Manage reservations, answer phone calls, and respond to guest inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the server team to ensure seamless service and communicate with the kitchen to ensure timely food delivery.
  • Provide guests with menus, answer questions, and make recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Seat guests according to the sections assigned during service hours and maintain a clean and professional work environment.
  • Assist with takeout orders, pre-buss and bus tables, and ensure that all dishes are delivered accurately and presented to a high standard.
  • Meet and exceed guest expectations by providing exceptional service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and server team to ensure that all aspects of the dining experience are coordinated and executed flawlessly.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and policies of Railside Golf Club and Restaurant.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and drink to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
