Job Title: Biologist II

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Biologist II to join our team at Actalent.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-clinical sample analysis using ligand binding assays, managing samples and reagents, and generating high-quality bioanalytical data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, chemistry, or pharmacology, and experience with ligand binding workflows and laboratory automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute experiments based on bioanalytical protocols and in vivo study designs.
  • Analyze pre-clinical in vivo samples based on operational schedules.
  • Qualify ligand binding assays based on bioanalysis protocols, interpret results, and make decisions on assay readiness.
  • Effectively communicate experimental plans and results orally and in writing.
  • Contribute to technical report writing and day-to-day lab operations.
Requirements
  • MUST HAVE experience with ligand binding workflows.
  • MUST HAVE MSD experience.
  • BS or MS degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmacology.
  • 3 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry experience.
  • Attention to detail, experience performing lab testing independently, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to properly use common lab tools, such as pipettes.
  • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment independently.
  • Experience with lab automation is highly desirable.
  • Experience in data-driven troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to draft technical reports.
  • Proficiency with computers and data analysis software, including Excel and LIMS.
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
