Biologist II

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Ligand Binding Assay Bioanalyst to join our Quantitative Translational and ADME Sciences department. The LBA Operations Bioanalytical team conducts quantitative bioanalysis assays of large molecule therapeutics like mAb, ADC, fusion protein and bi-specifics for Pharmacokinetic (PK), Pharmacodynamic (PD) and Toxicokinetic (TK) studies using ligand binding assays to support drug discovery and early development efforts.

• Plan and execute experiments based on bioanalytical protocol and in vivo study design.
• Analyze pre-clinical in vivo samples based on operational schedule.
• Qualify ligand binding assay based on bioanalysis protocol, interpret result, and make decision on assay readiness.
• Data archiving in ELN and LIMS.
• Effectively communicate experimental plan and results. Contribute to technical report writing and day-to-day lab operations.
• Sample management and sample data QC in LIMS.
• Write, and update experimental protocols and procedures.
• Initiate, design, interpret, troubleshoot operational assay independently and efficiently.

• BS or MS degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Pharmacology.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry experience required.
• Experience with ligand binding workflow required (MSD experience).
• Experience with lab automation highly desirable.
• Experience in data driven troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Ability to draft technical reports.
• Proficiency with computers and data analysis software including Excel and LIMS.
• Attention to detail, experience performing lab testing, independent, and self-motivated.
• Ability to properly use common lab tools such as pipettes.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment independently.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Ability and willingness to work effectively in a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
