Day - 8 hour shift
Position Overview: The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering nursing care in accordance with AORN standards and professional nursing practices. This position is accountable for the outcomes of the nursing care provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients.
- Collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with established nursing standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
Education: An Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an acute care surgical services or operating room setting is preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
Must possess a current and valid RN Licensure in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within the first month of employment. BLS recertification is mandatory every two years. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
Special Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires medium physical demands. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk. Occasional use of hands and fingers is necessary, along with frequent communication abilities. The employee must be able to exert varying amounts of force to move objects as needed.
Work Environment:
Potential exposure to infectious materials and health risks is present, but risks can be minimized through adherence to safety protocols and health precautions.
