ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Lead Technician for our processing facility. The ideal candidate is a versatile problem solver who is both highly skilled and motivated. Comfort in a clean, food-grade environment is essential. This role requires a well-rounded individual capable of troubleshooting various types of equipment. We value experienced technicians who can collaborate effectively to achieve overarching goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose, maintain, and install diverse processing and packaging machinery.
  • Address issues related to the facility's Electrical Distribution, HVAC, and Lighting systems.
  • Adhere to planned maintenance protocols to maximize efficiency and longevity of production equipment and building systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and tickets based on priority.
  • Oversee building systems and structures, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Lighting.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to devise solutions for equipment and building challenges.
  • Assist in inventory management of parts and materials.
  • Accurately document the use of parts and materials.
  • Record the completion of maintenance tasks as per established procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma with Trade School, Apprenticeship, or relevant Military Experience preferred.
  • Strong grasp of basic electrical and mechanical principles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical circuits and schematics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting control and low-voltage systems.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment, including Multi-meters and Amp Meters.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance safety protocols, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Able to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally; capable of prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching; and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to identify unsafe conditions and collaborate with team leads to mitigate risks.
  • Strong communication skills: Verbal, Electronic, and Written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years old (or 18 years old in specific states).
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a height of at least 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to work seated or standing for extended periods, maintain balance while climbing ladders and stairs, and perform tasks requiring frequent hand and finger dexterity.
  • Must be able to handle organic materials daily and wear appropriate PPE as needed, while being exposed to varying environmental conditions.
  • Must possess visual acuity to perform tasks such as reading and inspecting small parts.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally at a conversational level with co-workers and vendors.

Compensation will be based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is available for this position. The role typically involves an average of 40 hours of work per week, with availability for emergency situations as needed.
