Job Summary

The Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of the shop, including being a resource for staff and guests seeking direction or assistance. This role involves maintaining the shop facilities, including the parking lot and lawncare, as well as routine vehicle maintenance and scheduling repairs with outside repair shops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Servpro's values and safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements.
  • Perform monthly preventive maintenance and inspections on all major facility equipment.
  • Apply skills and experience to troubleshoot and repair equipment or facilities.
  • Work with outside contractors to procure parts and services.
  • Conduct monthly equipment, tool, and consumables inventory and document and report losses.
  • Routine maintenance on vehicles, truck mounts, and trailers, and schedule repairs with local repair shops.
  • Order supplies as needed through corporate and local vendor shops.
  • Move vaults with forklifts as needed.
  • Assist other departments and engineers with facility and mechanical tasks.
  • Investigate, develop, and implement new process technologies.
  • Devise new solutions to problems encountered.
  • Work independently to perform and complete assigned work orders in a timely manner.
  • Train technicians on tools and equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance of parking lots and sidewalks, including snowplowing and shoveling.
  • Perform all general maintenance functions.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Motivate others to improve and promote acceptance, awareness, effectiveness, and results of the Employee Safety Program.
  • Take initiative and work effectively without close supervision, maintain accuracy and quantity of work under pressure of changing priorities, and adapt to change.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and orient new employees to shop and vehicle protocol.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years previous Facilities/Maintenance experience.
  • General vehicle maintenance experience required.
