Job Summary

Loyola University of Chicago is seeking a highly skilled Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join its esteemed team of medical professionals. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching, and research in the field of colorectal surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with benign and malignant colorectal diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, anorectal conditions, and functional disorders.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, urogynecologists, gynecologic oncologists, and gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, endoscopy, and other minimally invasive procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary programs, including pelvic floor disorder and GI oncology teams.
  • Teach and mentor general surgery residents, promoting excellence in clinical practice and research.
  • Contribute to clinical research, publishing papers, and presenting at conferences.
Requirements
  • Board certification/eligibility in Colon and Rectal Surgery and General Surgery.
  • Dedication to clinical excellence, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
