Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated individual to become a part of our healthcare team as a Healthcare Assistant. In this capacity, you will be tasked with preparing clinical examination and treatment areas, executing patient rooming protocols, administering medications and vaccinations, conducting EKGs and laboratory assessments, maintaining precise patient documentation, and providing support with various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a High School Diploma or GED, have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, and hold certifications as a Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support. Clinical experience and a background in healthcare are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up examination and treatment areas according to clinic protocols
  • Conduct patient rooming procedures, including vital signs and data collection
  • Administer medications and vaccinations
  • Perform EKGs and laboratory assessments
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping in patient files
  • Assist in scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Provide patient education materials
  • Operate within defined responsibilities
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Certifications: Medical Assistant-Certified, Basic Life Support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a nursing education program recognized by a nursing board
  • LPN certification
  • 1+ years of Clinical Experience
  • 1+ years of Healthcare Experience

Physical Demands:

Medium work - Involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
