Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Telephone Triage: Assess and manage patient health inquiries and symptoms through telephone interactions, employing physician-approved protocols. This role involves evaluating patient needs, providing education, and potentially intervening in crises. Prioritize incoming patient communications and manage appointment scheduling as necessary. Responsible for reviewing and authorizing provider-ordered prescriptions in line with established guidelines. Deliver tailored patient education based on individual needs as directed by the Provider or Group policy.
- Patient Record Management: Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient interactions and educational information. Maintain detailed records in the Medical Record system.
- Clinical Support for Team: Execute and delegate various tasks to enhance patient care. Maintain awareness of coding and reimbursement practices. Provide assistance and guidance to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed. Participate in the orientation and training of new team members. Seek opportunities for professional growth in nursing and leadership.
- Additional Responsibilities: Utilize contemporary nursing practices to deliver patient care, emphasizing the needs of the patient while exemplifying service excellence, compassion, and collaboration. Act as a patient advocate and address patient-related issues. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure.
- Proficient in nursing skills in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
- Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital environment; however, new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances.
