We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Medical Oncology/Hematology team at Northwestern Medicine. About the Role:- Provide comprehensive patient care to patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders.
- Conduct thorough health histories and physical examinations to determine patient needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and order laboratory tests as needed.
- Document patient care and education provided in the medical record.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Acute care certification required for APRNs (or FNPs with inpatient experience).
- Privileged and credentialed through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office.
- 2-5 years of APP experience in oncology.
