Family Medicine Residency Director

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead and grow our new Family Medicine Residency program as the Family Medicine Residency Director at Medical University of South Carolina Health. This is a unique opportunity to develop a diverse and challenging academic Family Medicine curriculum, mentor residents and medical students, and participate in leadership development activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Family Medicine residency program in accordance with ACGME accreditation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Medical University of South Carolina Health policies and procedures.
- Provide didactic and clinical teaching and supervision of residents in the Family Medicine program.
- Participate in quality improvement and research programs and other collaborative activities within the Medical University of South Carolina Health community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including office staff, faculty, and senior leadership.
- Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
- Graduation from an ACGME or AOA accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Certification by the American Board of Family Medicine.
- Unrestricted licensure in the State of South Carolina.
- Unrestricted federal and state-controlled substance registration.
- Outstanding clinical skills, including significant experience caring for inpatient and outpatient newborns, children, and adults, and performing ambulatory procedures.
- Outstanding educational and administrative skills, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, preferably in Graduate Medical Education.
- Regional or national leadership experience.
- Significant accomplishment in scholarly activity.

Medical University of South Carolina Health is a comprehensive academic health science center, with a 700-bed medical center and six colleges.
