Assembly Technician

Apogee Enterprises is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in assembling and installing materials, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and install door hardware and test as required.
- Structural weld parts.
- Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures.
- Regular/dependable attendance required.
- Flexibility of work hours including overtime.
- Use of hand tools and machinery is required.
- Must be able to work well with little or no supervision.
- Participates in Apogee's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to rotate to other positions as needed.
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock, vibration, and seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, requiring hearing protection.
Physical Requirements- Regularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear, and move about the facility.
- Frequently required to walk.
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, occasionally push up to 54 pounds and pull up to 54 pounds.
