Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Modern Estates in Kokomo, Indiana. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes owned by the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure homes and community areas are in good condition.
  • Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Promote a positive image of RHP Properties by providing excellent customer service to residents, prospective residents, and visitors.
  • Identify and report deficiencies to the Community Manager, and take immediate action with approval.
  • Ensure community grounds are well-manicured, including regular lawn care services and trash removal.
  • Perform snow removal and other seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Advise the Community Manager of residents who do not properly dispose of excess garbage or have large/bulk items that require pickup arrangements.
  • Perform regular inventories of maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies, and advise the Community Manager of equipment and supply needs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid operator's license, with a good driving record and insurability under RHP Properties' policy.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds, and efficiently perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
