We are seeking a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team in Washington, DC.
About the JobThis is a hybrid remote opportunity to work as a Communications Coordinator for a well-established and world-renowned Association. As a key member of the team, you will assist with communication projects across various mediums and formats to foster community growth and engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, excellent writing skills, and experience managing social media platforms. You will be responsible for developing messaging and materials, including news releases, blog posts, and social media content.
About the Role- Develop reactive and proactive messaging and draft materials for various projects and announcements.
- Manage and monitor Publications' brand-level social media presence.
- Provide support and guidance for other staff members who manage social accounts for journals and other sub-brands.
You will also be responsible for assisting your Manager with other duties as required.
Requirements- A bachelor's degree in a field related to communications or a related field.
- Two years of experience in communications or a related function.
- Critical thinking skills with an organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Self-motivated individual who proactively seeks solutions.
- Positive attitude that contributes to the team culture.
- Excellent writing skills in medium and short form formats.
- Experience managing social media for an organization and familiarity with management platforms like Brandwatch.
