Demolition Superintendent

Veit & Company Inc is seeking a highly skilled Demolition Superintendent to lead our Demolition team in Rogers, MN and New Berlin, WI locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industrial demolition and excellent leadership skills.

• Manage daily site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Directly supervise lead personnel and staff on each project site, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Coordinate with general superintendents to ensure job-specific needs are met, including workforce and equipment requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with agreements and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct daily job hazard awareness meetings, stretching exercises, and weekly toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety.
• Participate in training opportunities to stay up-to-date on construction methods and safety procedures.
• Complete daily record keeping, including logs, equipment schedules, material schedules, and time cards.
• Manage field personnel in a fair and equitable manner, addressing performance issues promptly.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss project start-up and planning.
• Prepare and participate in regular job site meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Respond to customer inquiries, regulatory agency requests, and business community concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Five to ten years of experience in heavy industrial demolition.
• OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad, and iPhone.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management, employees, external vendors, and business associates.
• Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The Demolition Superintendent will work in a fast-paced construction environment, exposed to variable weather conditions, working near machines and loud noises.
