Job Summary

The Lead Youth Treatment Specialist provides critical support to the Youth Crisis Stabilization Program, overseeing the daily schedule of activities, implementing therapeutic interactions, and ensuring staff are trained and following program policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care, nurturing, and supervision to residents, including implementing daily schedules and activities.
  • Act as a shift leader, ensuring staff are trained, meeting youth needs, and following program policies and procedures.
  • Assess youth behavior for risk to self or others and communicate with clinical staff as needed.
  • Respond calmly and responsibly in crisis situations, using trained and approved methods to maintain safety.
  • Attend clinical supervision as required and maintain confidentiality in all written and verbal communications.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience and at least 4 years of experience serving youth with mental health needs.
  • Ability to display cultural competence and work with a diverse population.
  • Valid driver's license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements.
Working Conditions

The Lead Youth Treatment Specialist will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing youth who have experienced trauma and requiring the ability to lift 30 pounds.
