Plant Operator

As a Plant Operator at Vulcan Materials Company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of construction aggregates and materials. This position requires a strong working knowledge of industrial processing equipment, including screens, crushers, and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for operating the plant, maximizing material production, and minimizing interruptions and breakdowns. Additionally, you will perform basic maintenance activities, such as greasing, lubricating, and inspecting plant components.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate production material plant to maximize material production and minimize plant interruptions and/or breakdowns.
• Maintain material quality and perform basic maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and inspecting plant components.
• Assist plant manager with record keeping and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance.
• Perform various ongoing housekeeping responsibilities to maintain a clean and safe working station.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental, and other Company policies, procedures, and requirements.
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
• Minimum of two years experience in the construction/mining industry preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial processing equipment, including screens, crushers, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in relation to plant operations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform record-keeping requirements.
