Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plant, maximizing material production, and minimizing plant interruptions and breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Plant Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate industrial processing equipment, including screens, crushers, and conveyor systems.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform basic maintenance activities, including greasing, lubricating, and inspection of plant components, and troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to plant operations.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and submit reports on production and maintenance activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with plant manager and other team members to achieve production goals and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, and adapt to changing production schedules and priorities.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in the construction/mining industry, preferably in a plant operation or maintenance role.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong working knowledge of industrial processing equipment, mechanical aptitude, and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
