Job Title: Principal Infrastructure SRE

At Eateam, we're seeking a seasoned Principal Infrastructure SRE to lead our Compute Service team. This role requires a strong background in compute platform engineering, with a focus on automation and virtualization architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate existing application architectures and identify opportunities for containerization to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Design and deploy virtualization architectures, including VMware, Openshift, or KubeVirt platforms.
  • Develop tools for data analysis and performance profiling, leveraging Terraform and Config Management tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in compute platform engineering, with a strong focus on automation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go and/or Python.
  • Deep understanding of other infrastructure components like Storage, DNS, AD, Security Tools, and microservices architecture.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Hands-on experience with running large environments consisting of BareMetal, virtualized environments, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Understanding of AI ops and how to leverage LLMs to automate optimization initiatives.
