Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Mercy Medical Center, a Dignity Health member. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Render care to patients under the direction of a licensed physician or Registered Nurse, consistent with California Business & Professional Code and Mercy Medical Center policies.
  • Collect data to assess patients for further needs and establish a problem-oriented plan of nursing care.
  • Implement the plan of nursing care, perform technical nursing procedures, and provide direct nursing care to adult, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
  • Perform routine patient care and para-professional nursing services in a Family Practice, Pediatric, and Specialty Clinic setting.
  • Participate in statistics report preparation and other functions to support the unit.
Requirements
  • Possess and maintain a current LVN license with the state of California.
  • Possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work various shifts and hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a doctor's office or clinic.
  • Bilingual.

Please note that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
